An AI-Assisted Development Workflow

AI · Workflows · Development

Placeholder guide. A repeatable workflow for building software with AI assistance, from specification to review.

1. Write the specification first

Placeholder: the specification is the highest-leverage artifact. Decisions made here are cheap; decisions made in code are expensive.

2. Define decision gates

Placeholder: separate reversible decisions (delegate them) from irreversible ones (keep them).

3. Work in phases with checkpoints

Placeholder: each phase should end with something runnable and verifiable.

4. Review the diff, not the description

Placeholder: what the assistant says it did and what the code does are not always the same thing.
